Oppenheimer star Robert Downey Jr. Accepted the Best Supporting Actor Award tonight. The first time winner took the stage while receiving a standing ovation and tons of cheering.

Downey Jr. thanked his wife Susan, his team, children and costars. “Here’s my little secret, I needed this job more than it needed me. Chris knew it. Emma made sure that she surrounded me with one of the great cast and crews of all time: Emily, Cillian, Matt Damon, Blunt. It was fantastic. And I stand here before you a better man because of it. You know, what we do is meaningful, and the stuff we decided to make is important.”
